FAQ
Where is the event located?
University of Hawaii’s Maui campus | 310 W Kaahumanu Ave, Kahului, HI 96732
Pilina Building in the Student Lounge. We will have some signage up to direct you to the event.
Will food be provided?
Breakfast will be catered at the event site with healthy and vegetarian options and will be buffet-style. This year for lunch, you will be able to pre-order a meal, though we have to get all food requests to the caterer by Friday, March 10th. Check your email for the link to order lunches. (We have made every effort to accommodate a variety of dietary preferences. If you have a medical restriction, please let our team know as soon as possible.) If you do not order your lunch, we will order one for you.
What are the agenda hours each day?
Breakfast will begin at 8 am daily and the event will begin promptly at 9am. Friday and Saturday will end at approximately 6:30 pm. Sunday will end at 4:30 pm. Friday morning, we will have an opening ceremony shortly after 8 am.
Do you recommend renting a car?
It is a short walk from the Maui Beach Hotel to the campus. Consider the weather, Maui can have rain showers in the Spring. A few of our guests are planning to rent a car. A car is helpful if you want to explore the island.
Is it cold in the building?
The building's temperature fluctuates so we recommend bringing layers for classroom time.
Are there any evening activities planned?
Currently, there are no evening activities planned. There will be an offering by our sponsor, Whole Frog, that you can choose into after each day (and maybe more!), this will be a body care/ mobility offering for you to help you be present with the event by addressing any physical discomforts that you may have.
What is the dress code for the event?
The dress code is up-casual.
What will the weather be like?
We recommend checking the forecast before traveling. Currently, there is rain in the forecast for at least one of the days.
How will I receive communications about the event?
You will receive communications about the event via email prior to the event. Once at the event, all communications will be via text message.
